A Sign?

This is what we saw when we left daycare yesterday.

Mommy officially went back to work today.  What an adjustment!

Merry Christmas!

We spent Christmas day with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Michele, Uncle Paul, and Cousin Henry.  Gary loved his presents, particularly the special picture of him and Henry.  (It already is on display in his bedroom.)  He also had so much fun that he made his way through three sleepers.  What a party animal!

Happy Christmas Eve (and Four-Month Birthday)!

Gary's four-month birthday coincided with Christmas Eve.  We had celebrated both events in Virginia Beach with Grandma, Aunt Shannon, Uncle Matt, and Buster.  Gary received very nice presents -- his favorites were Tommy the turtle, Ozzie the octopus, and Scout the puppy.  It was a fun day, and he was pretty tired at the end of it!

Gary's First Day at Daycare Yields a Shocking Discovery

Today was Gary's first day at daycare, and it definitely seems like Gary adjusted to the change better than mommy did.  She was a wreck (and drowned her sorrow in a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich)!

Gary's teacher, Marie, also discovered that Gary is teething!  We didn't believe it, given that he is not yet four-months old, and were shocked to see two little white bumps coming into the bottom of his mouth.  You can sort of see them here:

Here are some bonus photos that daddy took while attempting to catch a glimpse of Gary's new teeth:

"If I eat the camera,
maybe daddy will stop taking my picture."

"Hmm, that didn't work."

"This time, I'll go for mommy's glasses!"

"Whee! They were delicious."

"What? You talking to me?"

Late Night Filings!

No, Gary isn't a Russian spy, but he did go with Mommy to the office to clean up and help organize some files before she goes back to work next week.  Here he is taking a break with a book and his buddy, Monkey:

The Many Faces of Mr. Gary

Mischevious.

Surprised!

Concerned.

Goofy.

Roly Poly Baby

Earlier this evening, Gary was playing on the floor with his rattle while mommy and daddy were checking e-mail.  The next thing mommy knew, daddy said, "Did you put him down on his stomach?"  Her answer was "no" -- Gary had rolled over for the first time, and he sure looked proud of himself!

Mommy put Gary on his back again to see what would happen.  Within a few minutes he was on his tummy again!  This development can mean only trouble . . . .

Bah Humbug!

Gary went to visit Santa Claus today.  As the following series of photos attest, Gary was rather skeptical of the old fellow.  It looks like Santa didn't quite know what to make of Gary either!

Happy Baek-il, Gary!

Today, Gary turned 100 days old, which is an important milestone in Korean culture.  Here is a picture mommy took to commemorate the day.

Reality Check

Proof that life with Lil G is not all puppies and rainbows.  (But it is nice that he's cute even when he's fussy.)

Family Time

Aunt Shannon came to visit today.  We took advantage of the beautiful weather and took a few walks.  We also managed to capture this picture.  Gary looks like he is proud to be held by such a pretty lady.

Color-coordinated!

Uncle Matt visited last weekend.  Gary thinks that he's hilarious.

Happy Thanksgiving (and Three-Month Birthday)!

We spent Thanksgiving -- which also happened to be Gary's three-month birthday -- with Grandma and Grandpa M.  Gary is looking forward to being able eat turkey and all of the fixings next year!

Gobble, gobble.

Too much turkey!

World Domination

Our little evil genius already has begun plotting . . .

"First, I shall destroy every changing pad cover on
the planet.  Then I shall sup on milk and hands."
. . . and we have succumbed!

Our friend Laurie snapped this pic while we were at lunch today.  Bon appetit!

Today

Today was a fairly typical day.  Gary played on his activity mat, danced around the apartment with mommy, and spent some time laughing at his mobile.

We also took a walk to the new park near our apartment.  The weather has turned chilly, so Gary had to bundle up!
"Shaka, bra."  (Already ready for summer!)

Happy Two-Month Birthday!

Gary is two months old today!  It has been an exciting few days.  On Friday, Gary visited the National Mall for the first time.  He and mommy visited daddy -- who was helping set up for the Audi Best Buddies Challenge, which mommy rode in last year.  Then, Uncle Matt came for a short visit on Saturday.

And on Sunday, Grandma W. came to visit for a few days.  After a family lunch and walk to the mall, mommy and daddy went out for dinner and Grandma had some one-on-one time with Gary.

Grandma and Gary had some more quality time today while mommy went to Costco.  He had so much fun that he fell asleep in his bouncy chair!  (Thanks for lending it to us, Will, Cheryl, and Wesley!)

Friends

We met friends in Old Town Alexandria for brunch today, and then we went to see Joe and Tricia's new house!  As you will see, the house only is new to them -- it was built in the late 18th century and designed to accomodate people with smaller statures than Billy!

9 to 5

Mommy had to go to work today for a seminar, so daddy and Gary spent a lot of quality time together.  They had fun going to Dunkin Donuts and the mall.

Mommy was very happy to see Gary again when she came home!  She missed her little guy.
