Playtime!

Mommy had to run out for some errands, so Daddy and Gary hung out for a little bit.  Gary practiced his new waving technique and read ate one of his favorite books.

Big Boy Chair!

This weekend marked another first for Gary -- when we went out to grab brunch, Gary sat in a high chair during the meal!  He was so excited to sit at the table with Mommy and Daddy!

All Tuckered Out!

To celebrate President's Day this year, we decided to meet up with our friends, Nate and Clara, to grab some Korean BBQ at our favorite spot in Annandale, Oegadgib.

Gary spent most of the most of the meal making eyes at Nate across the table and throwing chopsticks on the floor; Gary was squealing with glee as he reached for all kinds of things that he shouldn't have been touching, like plates of food and cups of hot tea.  (Mommy and daddy were smart enough to seat him away from the hot grill.)  What a rascal!

At the end of the day, Gary also learned that fun and excitement can be exhausting:  Look who passed out on the car ride home!

Breakfast at Bob & Edith's

We celebrated the second day of a three-day weekend by going to Bob & Edith's -- a diner near our apartment -- for breakfast.  We went early to beat the post-church rush and sat in a booth smack-dab in the middle of the place.  Gary had a great time smiling at our neighbors and trying to grab everything within arm's reach.  His hand made it into a few things, including mommy's bacon and eggs and daddy's corned beef hash.  What can we say?  The kid already has good taste.  Here are some photos and a video from the outing.

Gary at Daycare!

Gary and Henry Enjoy Sunday Brunch Together!

Aunt Michele and Uncle Paul came up to our neighborhood for Sunday brunch, which gave Gary a chance to hang out with his cousin, Henry!  Here is some footage of the two dudes just chillin' after the plates had been cleared away:

Bundled-Up Baby

It was cold out today!  We had plans to have brunch with Aunt Michele, Uncle Paul, and Henry, which we couldn't miss, so we had to bundle Gary up before leaving the house.  At first he didn't like being stuffed into his bear suit and car seat, but he was grateful once we went outside.  In fact, he fell fast asleep during our walk to the restaurant!

Lazy Saturday

One of our favorite weekend activities is napping together.  Look at the snuggly baby (and proud daddy)!

Sitting Pretty

Although Gary still hasn't quite learned to crawl, his sitting technique has undergone vast improvement in only a couple of weeks (and it gets better every day).  Here are some pictures that mommy took last week.
