Gary is now a pro at eating rice cereal, so we decided to introduce him to vegetables this week. Last night, we tried to give him green beans, but Gary did not care for them one bit. Tonight, we switched things up by offering something a bit sweeter. Gary didn't quite know what to make of his first few bites of sweet potato, but mommy and daddy persisted, and Gary seemed to enjoy them by the end of the bowl! Here are a few action shots. (Maybe next week Gary will be willing to try those green beans again!)
I'm not sure if I like this . . .
and I think I have some up my nose!
Gary finally fits into his Ovechkin jersey (thanks, Kim and Chris!) and wore it for the first time yesterday. He didn't get to watch the game, which was on after his bedtime, but the Capitals -- as they have done all too frequently this season -- lost anyway.
Gary turned six months old on February 24. We celebrated by taking him on his first big trip, but because we were traveling, we didn't have a good opportunity to introduce him to his first "solid" food. So it was very exciting when he ate rice cereal for the first time this past weekend. Here are some (cell phone) pictures of Gary chowing down (and getting messy).
And here is a video from tonight. He still seems to like the stuff!
Note the "sleeper of shame." Whenever Gary has a diaper blowout at daycare, his alternate outfit is one of his Xmas sleepers. If you see a little Gary wearing a reindeer sleeper in March, that can only mean one thing...
Gary got to hang out with his favorite cousin again today, and he was SOOOO excited to see his older cousin. He couldn't help but squeal with glee! Honestly, I think he kinda freaked Henry out a little bit...
