Baby Jail!

Now that Gary is moving around, and given that our apartment is basically babyproof-proof, we opted to purchase a play yard for Gary to sit in and play.  Our living room looks like a demilitarized zone!

Hey, let me out of here!

I'm innocent, I swear.

You're here to bust me outta this joint, right?

Lunch with Grandma and Grandpa M.

This weekend, we paid a visit to the grandparents and had some delicious BBQ!

Gary and Grandma M.

Gary and Grandpa M.

Gary is excited for some BBQ! Why is Mommy
looking at seafood specials?

What are you getting, Grandpa?

This lunch special sounds like a great deal!

Lunch specials are not available on the weekend?!?  BOO.

From the Archive!

We haven't been very good about updating the blog in recent weeks.  That this is happening shortly after Gary learned to crawl is almost certainly related.  Some assorted photos from the last few weeks:

Sleeping baby!

A visit from Aunt Shannon!
In addition to crawling, Gary is now in the habit of pulling himself to his feet. A couple of weeks ago, Daddy found Gary in his crib in the following state after leaving him alone for a minute to put on his shoes:

Tastes like chicken! Or so I'm told. . .

A couple of days earlier, here is Gary on his knees.
This prompted us to lower Gary's crib. Looks like we
fixed that just in time!

Are we going to have a walker soon?

Sweetie (Potato) Pie

Gary is now a pro at eating rice cereal, so we decided to introduce him to vegetables this week.  Last night, we tried to give him green beans, but Gary did not care for them one bit.  Tonight, we switched things up by offering something a bit sweeter.  Gary didn't quite know what to make of his first few bites of sweet potato, but mommy and daddy persisted, and Gary seemed to enjoy them by the end of the bowl!  Here are a few action shots.  (Maybe next week Gary will be willing to try those green beans again!)

I'm not sure if I like this . . .
and I think I have some up my nose!

Okay, I'll try a little more . . . .

Hmmm, that's not half bad!

GIVE ME MORE.

I could eat this stuff all day!

Uhhhh . . . starting to get full.

I think I might ralph!

Okay, I'm done.

Rocking the Red

Gary finally fits into his Ovechkin jersey (thanks, Kim and Chris!) and wore it for the first time yesterday.  He didn't get to watch the game, which was on after his bedtime, but the Capitals -- as they have done all too frequently this season -- lost anyway.

Gary Has GONE MOBILE.

Uh oh, guys.  Look who has gone from scooting to full on crawling in the last week or so:

This can only mean trouble!
