Welcome to the Family, Joey!

Gary has a new little sister! Joey is almost two weeks old, and we are already convinced that she is an absolute sweetie. Pictures coming soon!

Big Boy Bed!

Gary graduated to a big boy bed last night.  Mommy and daddy picked out the bed, sheets, and quilt.  Gary picked out a special pillow!

So excited that he wasn't letting
mommy and daddy make the bed!

The finished product

Snuggling with daddy (and pillow)!

Maymont Field Trip!

The weather was great, so we took a quick trip to visit Richmond this weekend!  After brunch with Uncle Matt, Aunt Shannon, Cole, and Grandma, we took a stroll through the Children's Farm at Maymont Park!

"What do you mean, no dinosaurs?"

"Let me out!"  (In?)

Communing with goats.

A photo attempt that was
a good idea in theory.

Letting Uncle Matt chase Gary up the hill.

Rock and Roll

Gary enjoyed listening to daddy's band practicing in the basement last night (at least for a little while).  He hasn't decided whether he wants to be a singer, guitarist, or drummer--or a solo artist!

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Last week, Gary and his classmates celebrated Dr. Suess's birthday.  On Friday, they made cake and wore special hats and crazy socks for the birthday party.  Gary enjoyed playing the part of Thing 1!

Adventures in Potty Training!

Potty training is an adventure in many different ways.  Thus far, I think my favorite part has been little dawg's insistence on sitting on the commode backwards (a practice sometimes referred to as slatering).

Backwards? Says you!

Auto-Awesome is Pretty Awesome!

So, it turns out that Google's Auto-Awesome feature is, in fact, legitimately awesome.  Some exhibits in favor:
