Apologies for not updating the blog in a while, but while we were on vacation in early June two big things happened. First, our offer to buy a house was accepted, and second, mommy was offered a new job with the government and decided to accept it. Since then, we've been busy packing, moving, and unpacking, and mommy has been wrapping up myriad loose ends at her current -- soon to be old -- job. We promise to post new pictures soon! (Perhaps even in time for his 11-month birthday on Tuesday. Eleven months!)
In the meantime, becoming automobile commuters has given us more time to expose Gary to music (and to NPR and podcasts, which he doesn't appear to like nearly as well). Today he particularly dug these two songs:
"I Want You to Want Me" by Cheap Trick
(Only fitting because one of mommy's and daddy's most memorable early dates was to see Cheap Trick at the Fairfax County Fair.)
"I Was Made to Love Her" by Stevie Wonder
He may also enjoy listening to mommy singing along. . . .
